How do we hold our coaching sesisons?
It’s actually a great question as not only are we busy but we live and work in different locations, we work in different time zones or our work and personal lives place constraints that mean that meeting 1:1 is not always an option. That’s fine, these are easy problems to address and will not stop you from obtaining the support you need and the goals you desire.
Away from the 1:1 approach, online is the most preferred option as it’s as close as we can get if you are either located some distance away or you may be travelling but wish to continue with regular sessions. We can utilise either Skype or Facetime, I’m happy to leave it to you to decide which you prefer.
Telephone is an option for those who don’t wish to have a face-to-face approach be it for confidentiality or logistical reasons. We have a wide range of options available to us including mobile phone calls, landline, WhatsApp, Facetime voice and so on. Sometimes its also not possible to make a Skype call for example or you simply wish to have a quick call for some advice, guidance or you just have a quick question. We can agree on what method(s) we use together.
Email is an option, it’s not a preferred first approach but is better kept for quick questions or feedback requests. I unfortunately have to avoid taking on clients who only wish to use email as the coaching method but as a backup it’s ideal.
Naturally One-to-one sessions are the best option if location, timing, working hours allow for this. It enables us to it down and build a different form of relationship from the remote options however it is not suitable for all. If we conduct one-to-one sessions they can be conducted at your location, mine or even a neutral location, again I’m happy to accommodate your needs as far as possible.
Naturally it’s not a 'pick-one only' approach as we are able and should try and use the best, most suitable option based upon the situation. I’m naturally available by email at any time with my clients and I’m more than happy to share my mobile number in case the situation arises where you need immediate support. I may not be able to answer the phone immediately as I may be in a session with a client but if you leave a message, I will get back to you as quickly as possible. Flexibility is key, I’m here to help you, it’s my job, it’s what I love doing and accommodating different needs is a regular part of my day. Please let me know what works best for you.
